Williams Sister Finals

Was I the only one bored with this match-up? I don't really dislike either of them but they sure don't interest me in the least. I'll admit- I usually watch women's tennis or golf if some hotties (or even cute) girls are playing and the Williams sisters don't excite me in the least. Actually, with all the grunting that goes on with women's tennis it has become such a tough watch. I was very pleased when that started getting some coverage this week since it is something I have been thinking about for a long time. Thoughts?

I'm not a tennis fan (unless the chicks are hot, as you mentioned...), and it seemed like every time I turned on ESPN, they were ranting and raving about a Williams sister final. Do people even care about this?

I feel like between the Williams sisters and the WNBA, they're trying way too hard to pimp out something that isn't (or ever will be) catching on with main stream sports fans (read: dudes)...

Maybe it's just me, but I'm pretty sick of it.

BTW, did you see how sloppy that no 1 seed Dinara Safina looked?

We share the same thoughts. Overall, I get so tired of the way ESPN pumps up certain events. Little League World Series, College World Series, College Softball, WNBA, X Games- does anybody watch these?

You're right- Safina effort vs Venus was pathetic.

I was moderately interested. Serena's match in the semi-finals was great, though I agree they should move to best of 5 sets.
