Offer on the table... take it or counter? WHIR

Postby RenT » Sat Jul 04, 2009 12:35 pm

My league is a 14 team 5x5 roto keeper league. I've been offered Ryan Zimmerman, Alfonso Soriano and Francisco Liriano for my Luke Scott, Brad Hawpe and Brian Wilson.

First question would be is this a fair offer? I'm a little worried about Soriano and it's so hard to give up Hawpe with his average and RBI production. Plus, atm Wilson is my best source of saves.

I was thinking of countering with Hawpe, Scott and Qualls for his Zimmerman, B.J. Upton and Liriano. Any insight would be appreciated.

Here's my roster:

C V. Martinez
C R. Hernandez
1B Morneau
2B Alexei Ramirez
3B Branyan
SS Hardy
MI Everth Cabrera
CI Scutaro
OF Holliday
OF Hawpe
OF L. Scott
OF Jose Guillen
OF S. Hairston
Util Cust
Bench Beltran, Kelly Johnson, Alcides Escobar, Jason Heyward

P Beckett
P Scherzer
P Harang
P E. Santana
P Tallet
P Pavano
P B. WIlson
P Qualls
P J. Frasor
Bench Lohse, Zumaya, Uehara

I dont really like Scott the Hrs will stay but everthing else will go. I sold high on him with Youk and got Ichiro and Zambrano. I think soriano will find himself and when he does he'll be on fire. The descision is really up to you if you feel like your giving up to much dont do it!

Help me for my mid season draft:

I'd take the deal, or at least consider it. Liriano is turning it around and will add a quality arm to your lineup. Soriano will turn it around, too, especially with A-ram returning to the Cubs soon. In general, I think the Cubs' offense is starting to find life again.

Your counter is reasonable though if you prefer Upton over Soriano and want to hold on to Wilson instead of Qualls. Honestly, you'll be getting a lot of big names in return for players who might not quite be able to go the distance.

I'd do it. I know he's struggled, but I think the other owner will regret selling Soriano this low.

Help with mine plz. Gracais. - viewtopic.php?t=392569
