At least it's provides an explanation for his suckitude the last two outings... We can only hope he heals quickly and comes back as the unheralded and under appreciated fantasy pitcher we've all come to love.

Any news on the severity and timetable for his return?

In truth, this injury came at a very opportune time for me. Slowey wasn't helping me at all and I have both Downs and Hamilton set to come off the DL within the next week or so.

He's going to see a doctor on Monday. Until then, there probably won't be any actionable news.

A comment by Slowey:

"I think more than anything it's concerning because it's in my right wrist," Slowey, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list following the game with a strained right wrist, said. "It's in a pretty significant area, and we'll look at it Monday and go from that. It was something that affected how I held onto the ball. It was very uncomfortable."

Doesn't really tell us much, either way, except that it doesn't seem to be an injury he can try to pitch through. (At least, you wouldn't want to use him if he did.)
