So I am thinking of making a trade, but I don't want to give up too many of next year's protections. 7 team AL Only. I am giving the prices for next year, as they go up. Are any nontradable? Which five would you keep (we get to keep three, but I am thinking of dealing 3):
Nolan Reimold 6 Andrew Bailey 6 Matt Wieters 17 Brandon Inge 6 (3b only) Rick Porcello 6 Russell Branyan 6 Scott Downs 6 Adam Lind 6 Shin-Soo Choo 13 Asdrubal Cabrera 6 Justin Duchscherer 6 Roy Halladay 31 Brandon Morrow 13 Miguel Cabrera 37 Willy Aybar 6 (2b and 3b) Glen Perkins 7
The cap is $260.

To be honest, I had a very tough time here, but I ultimately came up with the same five. In an AL only with a $260 cap, I don't think Halladay or Cabrera have unreasonable prices at all, and since you don't have too many super cheap studs, I think those are the 5 you should go with.
Halladay, Cabrera and Lind were the no-brainers to me, and I was leaning towards Wieters and Choo... and that thought seems to be confirmed by the first 2 replies.
I'd be tempted to say that you have a pretty clear top 5 on your roster in terms of keeps.
Thanks to everyone who helped me in this analysis.
I ended up dealing Adam Lind, Noland Reimold, and Rick Porcello to a team looking to dump out for the rest of the year, and got back Jason Bay, George Sherrill, Felix Hernandez, Matt Garza, and Akinori Iwamura. My goal was to give up some prospects for next year, hold my offense relatively steady (I have a big lead in offense), and get a big jump in pitching.
I think I did that: Burrell (was on my bench) replaces Reimold in my lineup, Bay replaces Lind. Hernandez and Garza essentially replace Rick Porcello and Glen Perkins in being among my Top 6 starters.
