New To Fantasy - Need Advice on Offering a 2-for-1 Trade

Postby andycort » Fri Jul 03, 2009 6:31 pm

Hello everyone, I am new to fantasy baseball and I was hoping to get some advice on trying to trade two hitters for one. I am in a ten team league and I would love to have an extra roster slot to pickup starting pitchers throughout the week. I also feel like it is often a toss up when trying to decide which outfielders to start each day.

Here is my lineup:

C - V. Martinez
1B - M. Teixeira
2B - B. Phillips
3B - K. Youkilis (1B, 3B)
SS - R. Furcal
OF - J. Damon
OF - G. Sizemore
OF - M. Bourn
Util(1B)- D. Lee

Bench
OF - J. Werth
OF - R. Ludwick
2B, 3B, SS - M. Scutaro

I am hoping to move a combination of werth, damon, lee, sizemore, ludwick, or scutaro. I am a little reluctant to move anyone else (furcal because he has basically no trade value), but I wouldn't be opposed to the thought.

Is this a good/practical idea at all? If so, what are some possible players I could look at that would be worth trying to trade for/would have a decent chance of getting?

Any help is much appreciated. =)
