I'm currently in first but felt the one area i needed to be more stable was in saves i was offered frank francisco for verlander so i countered with mariano rivera for verlander....figure if the trade goes thru i'd drop howell or soriano for another stater

best starters avail right now are:

ja happ
r nolasco
s baker
v mazzaro
d braden

thinkin maybe nolasco because he's been much better since coming back from minors??? any opinions??? good trade bad trade???

i wouldnt have done it..you have 4 viable and decent closers already

ususally dont pay for saves as if your patient, you can grab some off the WW when a starting closer goes down.

not a horrible deal and if your paying for saves, Rivera is the guy to do it for. But Verlander is a stud and a a good SP is worth alot more then a good closer

well i think howell and soriano are shaky as far as solid save options....soriano is a part timer and howell is the guy for now
