Cole Hamels' stat line today: 4 innings, 9 hits, 7 earned, 2 bb, 1 k, 88 pitches

Prior to this start his ERA was 4.44 with a WHIP of 1.41. Opposing batters were batting .302 against him prior to this start.

He's clearly having an off year. I'm wondering if he's hiding an injury. What is wrong with him?

That piece of crap is definitely hiding some injury. Completely unacceptable how crappy he's been all year. Even Liriano thinks he sucks. That's bad.

183 1/3 IP in 2007, a career high at the time and then over 260 IP last year, including the playoffs. He basically pitched about 2 more months worth of innings then he ever had before in a season. He's worn out, that's what's wrong with him. It was a red flag in my book on draft day.

I kinda wish they'd DL him for a few weeks to get some rest, but the Phillies cant afford to lose him from the rotation.
