I was actually going to update this weekend with some pics. Just need to get them off my camera. I'm sitting here right now sipping on a homemade English-style brown ale.

Damn....I just opened up a Keweenaw Lift Bridge Brown ale and pretended I brewed it myself......just not the same.

Finally got around to getting some pics off my camera. Here's the Co2 system and kegs

A tall one of the English-style brown ale. We had a few hiccups in the brewing process which probably negatively affected the final product, but it still came out pretty good.

And since we're not bottling yet, we've come up with a way to make the beer easy to transport. Take a regular valve stem that you can buy at a tire store for a couple bucks, drill a hole and tighten it into any plastic lid, and you're good to go. I'm using orange juice for a couple reasons: 1. the container isn't clear plastic, so I don't have to worry about light exposure. And 2. it's a full gallon. All you have to do is fill it up with beer, give it a quick shot of Co2, and it will stay pressurized until you open it. Another benefit is that if you don't drink it all when you open it, you can re-pressurize it with a bike pump.

Very clever idea with the valve stem, I'm going to have to mention that to my buddy who brews. ;-D
