.256 AVG .304 OBP .279SLG with 15:2 K:BB in 43 AB's vs Orioles hitters.
Oriole's offense isn't overpowering, but is a solid middle of the road team as far as run production.
So, do you give the nod to Smoltz on the road @ Baltimore?

Those numbers are just against guys like Andino, Zaun. He's never faced Markakis, Jones, Wieters, Reimold, and has only 2 abs against Luke Scott.

I'm benching him. I took the chance against the Nats. That was a mistake, and Baltimore is a much better offense. I'm going to wait until I see something. Although Rich Hill has not looked good lately.

I'm starting him. Most of the damage done to Smoltz was in the first inning when he allowed 4 runs. After that he settled down and only allowed three hits the rest of the way. I think he'll have a better showing tonight, perhaps a little first inning jitters for John after having been out for so long.
