Braves RHP Tim Hudson's first injury rehab assignment has been set for July 19 at Class A Myrtle Beach. Hudson is recovering from elbow ligament-replacement surgery on July 27, 2008.

Fantasy Analysis
Hudson might now be a candidate to return in August. Keep him stashed in all leagues with DL spots. He could be a useful starter in any formats in the season's final weeks.

Been haning on to him (stashed to DL) in my deep mixed auction league, Been hearing that he is to return as a "middle men" bullpen, Hopefully not, Is there any chance that he replaces Kawakami in the Rotation, to give the Braves a solid rotation for the second half?

I too have been keeping him stashed away for about a month and a half now. Hudson has said he's willing to return to middle relief just so he can get out there and start playing sooner. That doesn't necessarily mean the Braves will put him in the bullpen. From everything I've been hearing about his progress I'm very optimistic about his rehab stints coming up. If he looks good enough in Myrtle beach during his rehabs then I'd look for him to get in the Braves rotation by early August.
