I heard he left tonight's game in the 9th inning after being hit by a pitch in the head. Any word on this?

Got hit on the helmet with a curveball - walked off under his own power - They took him out to be safe. He should be in the lineup tomorrow, I'd think. ;-D

I own him in 4 leagues, when I was watching sports center and that clown Perez tanked him, I nearly wet myself.

Keep your Depends handy for the results of Thursday's MRI on Alexei's finger... :-B

Wed, Jul 1 STATS INC Ramirez left in the middle of the eighth inning of Wednesday's game with an injured right middle finger.

Advice: White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said his shortstop injured it on Tuesday. Ramirez will sit out Thursday's game in Kansas City and Guillen said it was likely Ramirez will have X-rays. It's a shame considering Ramirez is batting .330 with seven homers and 16 RBIs in his last 23 games.

Wed July 1 Yahoo Sports SS Alexei Ramirez had to leave the game in the eighth inning because of an injured finger on his right hand. According to manager Ozzie Guillen, Ramirez will miss at least Thursday's game at Kansas City and will be re-evaluated based on what X-rays show Thursday afternoon. The injury first occurred on Tuesday when Ramirez fielded a ball awkwardly in batting practice.

Wed, Jul 1 Rotowire Ramirez left Wednesday's game in the eighth inning with an apparent finger injury.

Recommendation: He took to the field in the bottom of the inning but came off before the Indians took to the plate. He did not appear to be in too much pain, just discomfort, so we would be surprised if he is forced to miss any time. Jayson Nix slid over to short.

He's ok ;-D - According to a tweet from Chuck Garfien (Comcast Sportsnet Chicago):

"Here in KC with the Sox. Alexei's injured finger is better. Might play tomorrow. Sat more likely."

Gotta love Twitter for the inside info.

Thank God. Find replacement SS in four leagues, would have been a headache :-°
