League Conduct

Postby mm92280 » Tue May 21, 2002 1:18 am

Anyone ever been in a league where the conduct was, well, less than optimum. Well, I'm in one of those leagues now, the league as a whole is ok, except for one owner. He's been an arse ever since the league started, when I inquired about Josh Beckett and he demanded Wood or Vasquez in return, which, I wasnt doing. Anyways, he's made a vague threat over instant messages, and stupid crap like that. Anyways, only read if you are an adult, not exactly for kids, read the part under Hawk's All Stars, just my way of blowing off steam.

ah, crap, forgot about passwords, ah well, you can't read it, but the basic part is the guy knows how to comb through everyone's transactions, including proposed trades that have been deleted by the owners, and trades that have been outright rejected by the owner. I wish this was a league where I could actually attempt to get the other owners to kick him out, but, anyways, its Sandbox, and I'm stuck with this moron for the rest of the season, and possibly beyong since its a keeper league. By the way, a small prize for me: I'm in 1st and he is in 8th, out of a 14 team league.

Being able to see others' transactions has long been a problem with sandbox games - I'm surprised they haven't fixed it. Some people do this completely innocently, figuring that if it can be done, it must be part of the game. If you get any sort of threat or abusive message, however, you can send it to sandbox, and they will first warn and then toss the offending team. It's annoying, but sometimes there's no other way. (A basketball league I was in a while ago once got so ugly that three teams were tossed).

Anyway, judging from the standings, you'll certainly have the last laugh. :->
