Mays is the third. He was the king of the infomercial, much like Jackson was the King of Pop and Fawcett was the Queen of the 80s.
Oh god this brings back memories of Bernie Mac last year, one of the Kings of Comedy. And the kicker...Billy Mays: dead at 50. Michael Jackson: dead at 50. Bernie Mac: dead at 50. The King of TV Pitchmen, the King of Pop, and a King of Comedy.

He was involved in a rough plane landing the day he died (tires blew out on impact and shut down the runway). He told reporters that he hit his head really hard, but that he has a hard head...makes me wonder if he bled out in his brain after he went to sleep (like Liam Neeson's wife Natasha Richardson).
I started watching pitchmen on a flight back from vacation a few months ago and loved it. I thought Billy had an amazingly funny and sociable personality. It's a real shame

ZING!
Anyways Autopsy shows no head trauma. he had heart disease though consistent with sudden death. Poor guy. The plane accident probably gave him too much of a jolt after a long busy week.
