Looking to improve in batting avg (without sacrificing too much else). Which of these trades do you like more? Keep in mind some of these moves have keeper considerations (we keep our top three players each season)
Notes: Trade 1 - I'm not very high on Markakis or As.Cabrera (due back anyday), but this would definitely help my batting avg. Trade 2 - Wright's lack of power is a concern as is Volquez's injury history.
MYTEAM - 10 team roto league. We keep 3 players each season. C-Martin 1b-A.Gonzalez 2b-Phillips ss-Alx.Ramirez 3b-Longoria CI-C.Jones MI-Stewart OF-Sizemore, Adm.Jones, Dye, Choo, Pence Util-Kubel (or Ludwick) SP-Greinke, Gallardo, Lilly, Danks, Jimenez, Nolasco RP-Broxton, Qualls, B.Wilson, Nunez
I would take Wright here. Volquez is a better pitcher than Lilly, and you could or should have no trouble replacing Lilly's production while V's on the DL. Wright is a better hitter than Sizemore, even taking the new park into account. And without CF separated from the OF, 3B is more valuable overall than is OF. With Longoria/Wright, you've got 2/3 of the best 3B available.
Always go for the trade that gets you the best player. Obviously David Wright is the best player as he hits for average and power (don't worry, the power will come soon enough) and he steals bases. Plus you are basically giving up a 2nd or 3rd rounder for a top 5 pick.
Without a doubt go with Wright..he is doing it all right now except for power. His hrs will come when the weather heats up and he tweaks his swing a little more for Citifield. He also has the return of Reyes, Beltran, and possibly Delgado to protect him..not that he needs it haha.

thanks for the help
and im not high on trade one. Markakis is a mystery, playing on both ends of the extreme this year, and Asdrubal has injury worries. I do like the second trade. Wright doesnt have the power this year, but all his other numbers are good, i think the power has to come eventually, and Volquez has more upside than Lilly
