I don't like Trade #1 at all. Sandoval not at 3B means a mediocre power-hitting 3rd basemen. His value really is at C. Chipper's injuries are annoying, but when he's healthy he's a beast. Volquez seems like a significant upgrade to Lilly, but with nagging injury issues I wouldn't go near him. These issues do not compensate for Wright > Sizemore.

I love trade #2. In a ten-teamer, you'll be able to find a better MI than Asdrual, and giving up Ludwick/Kubel isn't that big a blow. The addition of Utley on your team might just push your team to elite status.

Thanks for the help with mine.

Would you make the first trade if it was limited to - Sizemore/Lilly FOR Wright/Volquez (i.e., took Chipper/Pablo out of the mix)? I realize Volquez is an injury risk, but no more then Sizemore right? Plus Sizemore is KILLING my batting avg. Also feel like I have some dept at SP with Greinke, Gallardo, Danks, Jimenez and Nolasco.

I agree. I'd try trade #2 in a heartbeat. Utley is upgrade over Phillips and Cabrera will be more consistent than Stewart.

I could entertain the trade under those circumstances. Losing Chipper for Sandoval is just a bit too much.

Trade #1 No... Trade #2 Yes. Utley > Phillips, for sure and Ian Stewart is a drain on your batting average.
