Here is what our rules stat (taken straight from our constitution):
If during the course of a season, you lose one of the players on your Busch League roster by him being traded to the American League, these are the options that you have:
A. One for one trades: The owner of the player traded away has the option to pick up the player coming into the league at the salary of the player traded away for that year ONLY.
B. One for two trades: The owner of the player traded away has the option to pick up EITHER (NOT BOTH) player coming into the league at the salary of the player traded away for that year ONLY.
C. Two for One trades: The owner of the higher salaried player traded away has the option to pick up the player coming into the league at the salary of the player traded away for that year ONLY. Second option goes to the owner of the lower salaried player traded away at that players salary for that year ONLY.
D. All players not acquired under the options A, B, and C above are handled under the waiver rule, except that no owner may acquire more than one player in any single trade under the waiver rule.
E. Trades involving more than 3 players, as above, not including minor league players, will be handled under the waiver rule.
F. Integrity by roster position must be maintained.
G. A player may be waived in order to make room for the player traded into the league but only as a LAST resort.
If a farm player is the ONLY player owned in the transaction, they get first shot at acquiring the new player from the AL. If there is ANY other player owned, regardless of salary, that owner gets the option of picking up the AL player for that year and that year only, UNLESS the farm player had been activated by their owner before the transaction, then the standard rules of interleague trades apply (owner with higher salaried player has first shot).
