Quick Question - Please Rank These SPs! WHIR 100%

Postby FantasyStud » Sat Jun 27, 2009 12:05 pm

CC Sabathia, Justin Verlander, Wandy Rodriguez, John Lackey, Ryan Dempster, Gil Meche, David Price, Mark Buehrle

It's a 10 team keeper league and I'm looking to trade off one of my lower tier SPs. I just wanted to hear your rankings. Thanks.

WHIR

ALSO - PLEASE LOOK AT THE BOLDED TEXT IN THE POSTS BELOW AND LET ME KNOW THAT YOU THINK OF THE PROPOSED TRADE! THANKS

CC Sabathia

Justin Verlander
John Lackey
David Price
Ryan Dempster

Wandy
Buerle

CC is the ace by far. verlander has had an outstanding year but he needs to prove it for an entire year, not just half season, before he can be in the same class as CC, Johan, Lincecum, Haren, etc. after those 2, price probably has the most value because everyone loves him but lackey will give you better production for the rest of the year. try and see if you can make a killing on price.

help with mine?

You left off Meche FYI...where do you think he falls on that ranking?

oh my bad, i'd rank him as the worst out of all of them. he's real close with buerhle and wandy, but those 2 are on better teams so theres a better chance they'll get a win. good luck.

take a look at mine if havn't yet please, thanks.

Thanks - I just did!

I'm trying to make a trade along the lines of I give up Wandy Rodriguez, Bengie Molina, and Jeremy Guthrie for Shin Soo Choo and Huston Street. I'll post my team below - please let me know what you think of this deal.

C-Matt Wieters
1B-Ryan Howard
2B-Dan Uggla
SS-Jason Bartlett
3B-Pablo Sandoval (1B, 3B eligible)
OF-Andre Ethier
OF-Curtis Granderson
OF-Jacoby Ellsbury
OF-Johnny Damon
OF-Cody Ross
UTL-Miguel Cabrera (only 1B eligible)
UTL-Bengie Molina
DL-Jose Reyes
DL-

Starters-CC Sabathia, Justin Verlander, Wandy Rodriguez, John Lackey, Ryan Dempster, Gil Meche, David Price, Mark Buehrle, Jeremy Guthrie
Closers-Joakim Soria, Francisco Rodriguez, Mariano Rivera

Prospects can be called up at any time, since this is a Keeper League
Prospect-Carlos Carasco
Prospect-David Price
Prospect-Matt Wieters
Prospect-Dexter Fowler
Prospect-Brett Anderson
Prospect-Pedro Alvarez

I need saves since I've fallen behind - so that's why I'm looking to add another closer.

CC Sabathia
Lackey
Verlander
Price

Dempster

Meche
Wandy
Buerle

I'd hang onto the top tier. Verlander has done it before - can do it again and I haven't given up on Price yet. Dempster could draw a little more in a trade - but if there is any interest in the lower tier - trade away!

I would offer that trade. Any trade where you are not giving up a Top Tier guy is a good trade. If you need saves then go for it.
