While the value of the trade is great, there are a couple of things I don't like about it. First, you don't really need Youk ... if you're going to move Jackson for hitting, I'd like to see you upgrade a spot in your lineup (like at C, 2B, or SS). And your pitching staff looks really short without Jackson. So overall, I don't think I'd do this trade - unless you're confident you can turn around and trade Youk, Wright, or Berkman for even better value and fill some of the holes in your team.

Thanks. i definitely agree with some of these points. Another thing worth adding is that im in 11th place. I don't have much to lose in making my pitching worse. My pitching has been somewhat steady all season, but my offense has been horrendous. Berkman has been heating up, so i might try to trade him for a middle infielder like you said, maybe package him with one of my underachieving outfielders

I would try to trade Bruce for a catcher or short stop. agreed that Youkilis is great, but he wouldn't play much on your team.

I think you have to make this trade on value alone. Even if you need to another trade...

I've been trying to trade Bruce for a while, but no one wanted to touch him. I even got rejected with Bruce for Smoltz, so i ended up dropping him for Podsednik
