ATKINS OR JOSE LOPEZ?? WHIR..

I currently have Garret Atkins on my team, but today I noticed that Jose Lopez is available in the FA in my league. Do you think I should drop Atkins and pick up Lopez? For some reason I keep thinknig that Atkins is gonig to break out of this terrible slump (and he went 3/4 the other night and a home run the night before). Do you guys think atkins will turn it around or should I pick up Lopez? Who will do better the rest of the year? Thanks..

I like Atkins better for the rest of the year, especially once he gets traded. He'll lose a little value leaving Coors but will probably benefit from regular playing time.

With Chipper on your team, I think you really do need another 3B eligible player. So regardless of who I think will put up better numbers for the rest of the year (I'd lean towards Lopez), I think Atkins is a better fit for your needs. Though I do have serious reservations about Atkins - the lack of pt, the declining numbers (over a few seasons), possibility of losing Coors advantage.

Are there any other 3B or C (thanks to Sandoval) eligible FAs that might be better than Atkins?
