Please Rank My 8 SPs! WHIR, thanks!

Hey all,

I'm in a 10-team, competitive roto style keeper league. I'm in 5th place, yet "only" 13.5 points out of 1st. I feel like I still have a legit chance, since no team is running away with the league - plus, I won this league last year.

Here's my team...

C-Matt Wieters
1B-Ryan Howard
2B-Dan Uggla
SS-Jason Bartlett
3B-Pablo Sandoval (1B, 3B eligible)
OF-Andre Ethier
OF-Curtis Granderson
OF-Jacoby Ellsbury
OF-Johnny Damon
OF-Cody Ross
UTL-Miguel Cabrera (only 1B eligible)
UTL-Bengie Molina
BN-Skip Schumaker (2B, OF eligible)
DL-Jose Reyes
DL-

Starters-CC Sabathia, Justin Verlander, Wandy Rodriguez, John Lackey, Ryan Dempster, Gil Meche, David Price, Mark Buehrle
Closers-Joakim Soria, Francisco Rodriguez, Mariano Rivera

Prospects can be called up at any time, since this is a Keeper League
Prospect-Carlos Carasco
Prospect-David Price
Prospect-Matt Wieters
Prospect-Dexter Fowler
Prospect-Brett Anderson
Prospect-Pedro Alvarez

Scoring:
Runs 6/10
HR 7.5/10
RBI 6/10
SB 8/10
BA 6/10
K 10/10
W 8/10
SV 3.5/10 (Recently got Soria off the DL and traded for Mariano so that should change)
ERA 2/10
WHIP 4/10
TOTAL 61/100

I want to add another closer and another top bat at the expense of a top notch SP. One team has both Dustin Pedroia and Orlando Hudson, so I figured I could target is Dustin Pedroia as an offensive upgrade for my utility spot. He also has Bobby Jenks.

The proposed trade would be:
I get Dustin Pedroia and Bobby Jenks
I give Andre Ethier and a SP

(a) Please rank my SPs - CC Sabathia, Justin Verlander, Wandy Rodriguez, John Lackey, Ryan Dempster, Gil Meche, David Price, Mark Buehrle - as I intend on adding the lowest rank SP into this trade.

(b) Also, do you recommend that I do this trade, or something of the likes!

Thanks for any input - and WHIR Promise!

Is this a keeper? If so, I would rank them:

Justin Verlander
CC Sabathia
David Price
Gil Meche
Wandy Rodriguez
John Lackey
Ryan Dempster
Mark Buehrle

If not, then it changes a bit.

Personally, I would not make that trade. Once Manny gets back, Ethier should tear it up. He'll finish with better numbers than Pedroia this year and for many years to come. And I'm just not a fan of Jenks, or for trading for saves. There will be 4-5 guys who emerge as usable closers through the end of the season. Some may be better than Jenks.

verlander and sabathia are pretty much interchangeable at 1 and 2, i think its just personal preference there. value wise i'd then go price lackey and then buerhle. there's a lot of mixed opinions on lackey and price right now, but i think they still have good fantasy value and the potential to have good years plus price is a great keeper. i really like mark buerhle he doesn't get a ton of strikeouts but he's pretty consistent and you seem to be okay in strikeouts. i'd keep wandy, a lot of ppl don't seem to like him that much and i admit he was definitely overachieving with the sub 2 era he had for awhile but i think he's very capable of maintaining a mid 3 era with good strikeouts. then i'd definitely take dempster over meche, meche has been inconsistent this year, and i think dempster will have a good second half. however i don't know how tradeable he is right now after that last start. i'd definitely do the trade with either one of them in there, but i'd prefer to trade meche. if the other guy won't do that, i'd think about wandy. it really depends on if you think he can keep it up. personally i do, but i know the guy who has him in my league has been shopping him recently. i might still do that trade with wandy in it but it's definitely closer. i think pedroia will help you a lot with runs and average and jenks is solid and i'm not the biggest andre either fan though manny coming back might help him get his average up a little bit. sorry for the long message hope this helps.
