Keeper Trade

Postby mikebal9 » Thu Jun 25, 2009 8:53 am

I am in last place and clearly going nowhere. I already dumped Sabathia and DeRosa and got back Price, Wieters, and Aaron Hill.

I now have an offer for James Shields and Granderson. It is Shields ($26) and Granderson ($26) for Adam Jones ($6). The salaries are obviously what I'm looking for. My question is twofold.
A. Do you believe in Jones for the next 2 years?
B. Should i wait and see if another team in the league wants to deal me Verlander ($2) instead, or is this a better deal?

Yes, I'm a Jones believer for the next two years, but I'd rather have Verlander @ $2 than Jones @ $6 so try for Verlander first. Definitely makes sense to shed some salary now for youth, if it looks like you're already out of the running for this year.

By the way, how many do you keep?

FOrgot to mention that it's AL only. And we can keep up to 15.
