Why dont catchers qualify at IF?

I play on ESPN and it wont let me put a C at the IF spot. The commish doesn't know why this wont work. Anyone know?

Catchers don't play on the infield. They play behind the plate.

Because a catcher is never considered an infielder by people that are fairly knowlegable about the game. Its just kinda how it is.
