I play in a league that has a corner infield position. Pujols and Longoria are locking down the corners but am having a hard time filling the third spot. Currently I have Billy Butler there and he has been solid so I don't feel like I have to make a move. Chris Davis was supposed to be my guy there but his strikeouts were killing me. As insurance, I'd like more depth at that spot and McGehee is looking like the real deal. Only can keep two of these three. Which two? Thanks!

Everything suggests that McGehee is playing way over his head right now, and the Brewers are thinking about bringing up Alcides Escobar to play 2nd going forward. McGehee is a decent short-term play, but I'd be tempted to hold onto Davis and hope that he finds himself on a hot streak one of these days (as unlikely as that sounds).

I am in the same spot. Same players. Thought of making the same move. I'm going to hold onto Davis. McGehee is playing far better than the player his minor league stats suggest that he is. He'll cool off.

droppin davis for a player of mcgehee caliber is insane. the rangers know davis' potential and i love that they are stayin with him and that their front office has committed to him and said they arent bringin up justin smoak.
joe crede is a better option. he is a great 2nd half player.
davis could get hot at any time. i picked up Edwin Encarnacion since he will be back in a couple weeks and snagged him in my DL spot just in case davis gets demoted.

Actually, I just picked up Davis and am treating his demotion as if he were on the DL.
If he can get his swing together and come back like he showed last season it will be worth it. While McGehee is hot now, I view him as a 'sell high' guy, while Davis's value may never be lower.
Just my $0.02 worth.
