Just traded Sizemore, McCann, Billingsley for Johan, Hawpe

I wanted to increase my average, and i think at the end of the year Santana will be twice the value of Billingsley if not more. Did i give up too much?

I think you might of. The Sizemore/Billingsly for Santana/Hawpe is alright. But the fact you threw one of the elite Catchers in their tips the scales in his favor. I think if you would have waited a week on Sizemore and he comes back strong you probably could have gotten santana/ hawpe for sizemore/billingsly.

You may have gotten the best player in the trade (santana) but the person you traded with got the next 2 arguably the next three (not to desperage Hawpe, his average will be a big boost to you)

You did get the best player in this deal, but I agree with FF. If you had waited just a week longer it could have been a two for two deal....oh well.

Throwing McCann in there tipped the scale in his favor. Not the worst of trades, but the McCann move might hurt you in the long run.

i intend on picking up Doumit (and perhaps have Bengie Molina keep the seat warm for him until he comes back in July). And I don't think Doumit is that far of a drop off from McCann when healthy.

So, in that respect, I technically am giving up McCann, Billingsley, and Sizemore for Doumit, Johan, Hawpe. Still a dumb trade?
