I know they trade jacobs for nunez, but he hasnt been lights out either..If they make a move I guess it would either be meyer or nunez based on performance..I just picked up meyer, and nunez was just dropped...

Should pay attention to this if you need saves

Gonzalez says saves will continue to go to Lindstrom.

Can't imagine that will last if he blows another 1 or 2 in the next week or so.

Nunez is next, but has a sprained ankle. I believe it is Meyer if Nunez is not healthy.

Here's the news about Lindstrom going on the DL and the speculation on who's going to replace him from the Miami Herald (for the local take on things):

That didn't stop Tampa, but they're probably more of an exception. I'd be surprised if a lefty was given the first shot.

Also, if Nunez or whoever gets the job does a good enough job then it's probably not a safe bet Lindstrom comes back as the closer.

I just started a thread in leftovers about him, but I'd keep an eye on Henry Owens as well. He's back from his PED suspension and throwing in AA right now. His walk rate is not good, but he's striking people out, and more importantly, he's healthy. Nunez hasn't been very good this year, and as wildbill and others have stated, the Marlins would probably just assume go with someone other then Meyer so that he can be used more as a lefty specialist. Not necessarily an immediate solution (going with Owens), but one that could stick if he gets a look and is successful.

Pinto is a lefty as well. I think Meyer gets the job and keeps it.
