For most of the year, I have been spotting. However, hawking the FA wire I have gotten a couple decent pickups in a pitching deep league. I have Smoltz on my DL, and would have to drop a pitcher to start him. Should I do that with any of the following?
James Shields TB SP
John Danks CWS SP
Francisco Liriano Min SP
Jair Jurrjens Atl SP
Kevin Millwood Tex SP
Andy Pettite NYY SP
Ricky Nolasco Fla SP
Leave a link.

Go Jay Bruce. Credits to Super Manny.

Pettite would be my choice of a drop. The last game was nice, but I don't really think he's much better than a spot starter this year.

Drop Pettitte, his 1.40 WHIP will not help you . . .

I guess coming from a HUGE Yankee fan my opinion is a bit biased, but why would you drop Petitte? Why not Jurrjens, Liriano, or Nolasco. Pettitte is doing better than all of them this year.

I am definitely NOT a Yankee fan. I think your decision is really between Nolasco, Pettitte, and Liriano. I think Liriano has turned it around so I would keep him. Of the remaining 2 - Pettitte will probably get you more wins, while Nolasco will almost definitely get you more K's. I would probably drop pettitte because I think Nolasco has more upside and will probably have lower WHIP and ERA moving forward.
