Should I draft him as a backup or forget about him and why?

i love ortiz this year. he will be starting the year as the red sox firstbaseman, instead starting as a backup. look for 500 abs (he could sit against tough lefties) 30+home runs and 100+rbis.

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. -Crash Davis

Dont you think that Ellis Burks will steal time at DH in a platoon situation?

He is awful against lefties, so a platoon is likely.

Still a good backup at 1B in fantasy leagues, if he is platooned, the increase in his average should help to make up some of the other numbers he'd lose.
