Is this enough to give up Pujols??

Postby cdawg4343 » Tue Jun 23, 2009 5:41 pm

Ok guys 14team 5x5 H2H redraft league. I've been offered my Pujols for Morneau, Papelbon and Jurrjens. I need a closer and starting pitching (Peavy, Dice-K and E.Santana on the DL)but I'm skeptical in giving up the best player in the game! The main question is this enough to deal Pujols. And at what point are managers going to get smart and stop pitching to him?
My team:
c. Soto
1b. Pujols
2b. Derossa
ss. Jeter
3b. Reynolds
lf. Holliday
cf. McClouth
rf. Markakis
ut. Soriano
b. Bruce Bradley, Nady (DL)
sp. Sabathia, Peavy(DL), Billingsley, Meche, Ubaldo, Morrow, Dice-K, E. Santana, Contreras, West
rp. Rivera, Hawkins, Marmol,

not enough

pujols is by far the best fantasy guy to own....morneau is good but doesnt even compare.......a closer and an average sp wont cut it

stay put

i thik you could get more.
instead of a top closer like Papelbon and an average pitcher like Jurrjens, maybe you could try to switch that and get a good starting pitching with an average closer. there are lesser known closers who might not have the best ERA/WHIP but still get good number of saves. a closers ERA/WHIP really dont effect an overall team like a starting pitcher.
with Pujols numbers he is the best offensive player in baseball and should be able to get alot in any trade.

help?
