Definitely pick up Wood for Kershaw. Kershaw still lacks control and consistency, and Wood has been fantastic for a month until this last blip against the Cubs - he'll likely get another 15-20 SV, and there's noone to challenge him for the closer's role anyway.

Help with mine? http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=391285

I would definitely pick him up. Owner in my league dropped him about a month ago when he had a rough patch and up until this weekend he has been lights out for me. Hes gonna have bumps in the road but theres no threat to his job as closer and barring injury he should be fine. I would drop Smoltz for him, Kershaw has his issues here and there but theres no saying Smoltz is gonna be in Cy Young form upon his return, regardless though your rotation can afford to drop either Kershaw or Smoltz

in order to drop smoltz i would have to place lidge back on the DL.....which means i would be starting wood instead of lidge.......currently i have no room to activate smoltz.....

if i drop kershaw i can use lidge and wood along with the other closers....however, i would then be down to 6sps

Tough call, but yes drop Kershaw especially since it's a non-keeper.

Thanks for the help on mine.

Tough call on your part, I'd also be inclined to drop Kershaw only because of his inconsistency. I'd bet on Smoltz coming back and winning 9-10 games this year with sub 4 ERA but with consistent starts unlike the younger Kershaw.

I think I would sit tight on this one. Since you can't drop Smoltz, I don't think I'd use Wood over your other closers, and therefore not make any move. I bet if you put Kershaw on the market, you could get a better closer than Wood.
