Keeper league question need help!!!

I am the commissioner of a 12 team yahoo keeper league (2nd year we are doing league). All teams are allowed to keep 2 players.
Now here is the question one of the teams wants to keep 2 players and then trade a 3rd player to another team for there 2nd round draft pick, is this how a keeper league is done. Are you allowed to do this. My draft is sunday so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Not in my experience. In the keeper league I'm involved in you have to protect your players prior to the draft and prior to resuming trades. What you describe sounds pretty unfair because one owner gets to reserve an extra player.

I don't fully understand what happened, but If both teams only keep 2 players they I don't see a problem with it.

My league is similar to that. Are keeper list was due March 15th(yesterday) prior to the day keepers are due we can trade whoever we want for draft picks. After keepers are due trades are not allowed until after the draft, and we can still keep the maximum amount of keepers the league allows. The owner giving up a draft pick should only be allowed to keep as many keepers as your league allows players kept. Provided your league allows for tradeing draft picks I see no problem with any of it.
