Trade OPINIONS and YOUR THOUGHTS ON B. KIM

Postby 3SportFantasyKilla » Thu Mar 06, 2003 10:45 pm

I just wanted to hear a few opinions on Byung Yung Kim......I feel that his role as a starter will not last, not because of his inability to make the conversion from closer to starter, but Matt Mantei inability to become the closer. I know the Dbacks are lookin for depth in the Rotation, but bringin Kim out the bullpen (the number 26 ranked player overall on yahoo) is not going to work. One, his whip and era are way too high.

I have a 12 team public league....where i just traded my Torii Hunter and Jose Contreras for Pat Burrell and B. KIm ;-D
What do you guys think of that trade????????
I offered him Hunter for burrell striaght up...and he declined and proposed that trade.
In my opinion i feel that is a great trade! I am soooooo big on burrell this year...i was willing to give up hunter....with thome and abreu in the lineup...its going to be explosive
I know contreras may be HUGE(read Lindeys) but i am soooo pitching deep
Zito, Oswaly, Hudson, Millwood, Miller, Prior with foulke, jimenez and alfonseca as closers....and kim with a chance to be my fourth closer
I think i can use a little more offense like a 2b....what do you guys think?????
IRod, loduca, vina, crede, j. hernandez, bonds, burrell, p wilson, aramis, finley and Dye.
who would you look for on offense that i can trade a good pitcher for?
Give me some imput, thanks
Peace
Balla

Kim is projected t have huge numbers this year including wins and k's. Also, you can pick up closers all season long...no problem. !+)

It's a good trade...BK wont hang arond long in the starting rotation whether its from his inability or from Mantei faultering as the closer. BK's pitch count is to high to be an effective starter and he hasnt shown signs of lowering it yet....Mantei is a serious health risk...Burrell is up for a big year so I think you did OK ;-D
