He's really performing well. Is he still platooning or will he get the majority of starts in left over Spilborghs?

Unfortunately for Smith, the Rockies have played their way back into contention, so probably won't want to sell.
Rockies GM Dan O'Dowd is snuffing out rumors that the Rockies would trade Brad Hawpe if the price is right, according to Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post. Saunders writes,
"'I don't know where any of that came from,' O'Dowd said. 'I don't foresee us doing anything with him. That's something you would only do strategically, for the big picture. That would be something for the offseason, if at all.' ...
http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/06/odowd-quells-hawpe-rumors.htmlProbably the only way Smith plays full time is if he gets traded for pitching.
CarGon/Fowler/Hawpe are the starters I think.

Smith is a very good player for the amount of inexperience he has. Unfortunately Cargo, Fowler, Hawpe will start most games.
Personally I think Cargo stinks at hitting ML pitching but whatevs. They will probably deal spilly or smith

Manager Jim Tracy suggested Tuesday that Seth Smith is in line for increased playing time.
"You can't ignore what you saw last night, and you can't ignore what you have been seeing off the bench," explained Tracy. Despite a .298/.419/.488 line, Smith's managers have been ignoring him for most of the season.
We'll see if that actually happens though

It's good to see Smith being used regularly as a top of the order hitter for the Rockies now. If he stays in that spot, I don't think it would be out of the question for him produce a line similar to Markakis' 2008 the rest of the way.

I thought he had been playing pretty regularly for the last month or so.

He had, but it's only been recently that they've made him a fixture at the top of the order.

Fowler is also being bothered by back and hip issues. Apparently he's grown an inch this year or something. So you are going to see lots of Cargo Fowler Smith SPilly platoons.
The rockies have an insance record when Cargo starts for some reason. It's like 25-1
