If you have playoffs (and there's nothing special for winning the regular season, like $$$), who cares if you finish 1st or 2nd? Get a bye, win the next two weeks, and you're champion. You don't want to do something foolish being too focused on just one team.
Anyway, I'm not sure how you got the offense you have in a 14-team league (unless its a keeper, or there are some really bad managers in the league). Howard, HanRam, Prince, Beltran, Upton is crazy - not even a 8-team league should be able to get that. Only potential problem with the offense is that you have Chipper but no way to back him up for missed games (which you could get with either a C or 3B). The SPs are rather weak. You're in good shape that you have 3 closers, which should give you the saves category most weeks. Since you use 6 out of 7 bench spots for pitchers, it looks like you're trying to overwhelm your opponents in the counting categories. Which is smart. I wouldn't switch up what you're doing too much. If anything, I'd keep my eyes open for the opportunity to get more closers. Don't trade your hitting for it.
Just keep on plugging away, and get the bye. Get another closer by the playoffs if you can. Then, unless there are rules against it, I'd steam SPs like crazy in the playoffs. With more closers than anyone, you should win saves. With so many bench SPs, you should win Ws and Ks. You'll just need your offense to take 3 of 5 for the win. On paper, your offense should be the best in the league so I'd like your chances. Of course, anything can happen in a given week. But you should have a great shot.
