PLEASE HELP TRADE OFFER *WHIR*

Postby yankeeclipper02 » Sat Jun 20, 2009 5:09 pm

I am in a 14 team mixed head to head weekly points league. 5x5 scoring. 6 keepers. Here is my roster as it stands:

C Russell Martin
1b Mark Texiera
2b Freddy Sanchez
ss Micheal Young
3b Evan Longoria
OF Jay Bruce
OF Corey Hart
OF Justin Upton
U Andre Ethier
B Andrew McCuthchon

SP Zack Grienke
SP Adam Wainwright
SP Tommy Hanson
SP Joba Chamberlain
SP Koji Uehara
SP Brett Cecil
SP Gil Meche
SP Fernando Nieve
RP Ramon Troncoso
RP Ryan Madson

DL Chris Young - P
DL John Maine
DL Brandon Webb

Now, obviously my roster is heavy on pitching, but thats the way my league is, it takes 40 k and 5 wins to pick up the win for the week because everyone loads up on pitching. We are allowed 6 keepers, and at this point I'm concernedabout Webb.

I was offered this trade:

Brandon Webb, Chris Young, Jay Bruce for Derek Lowe, Jose Valverde, Jermaine Dye.

What do I do??

I am not sure if I would do that, it really depends on the route you wanna go. Lowe is an avg pitcher, I have him on my team and he provides about 3-4 K only. However he has a good whip and respectable k/bb ratios. Jay Bruce is a donkey this yr, hitting .212, I also had him. However he is a future star and many say an eventual .300 hitter. Valverde is a stud, we all know this. If you want to use Bruce as a keeper along with Justin Upton then your of will be solid for years to come I wouldn't do it. Dye is older and inconsistent. The only benefit of this trade is Valverde, you have solid pitching already and Lowe doesn't have a big upside unless your league considers IP.
