Could these 2G breaks become routine for ARod?

Postby dannahann » Sat Jun 20, 2009 4:48 pm

He was given the last 2 games off to rest as he is supposedly fatigued. Anyone close to the situation think this might become a pattern with him? He still has nearly 9 yrs to go on that $30M+/season contract, yikes!

Cmon Bud, NOW is the time to sack up and force feed an Olympic style drug program down Fehr's fat throat. Save OUR game from these blatant cheaters!

A pattern? Based on it happening once?

Man, do you see Nick Blackburn throwing complete game 1-run efforts becoming a routine?

I would say his currently pitiful BA and diagnosed mechanical issue would be the cause for now. Maybe let it happen a second time before we declare it to be the norm.

you know whats going to get said about ARod.. hes off the juice, and now he sucks.
the AVG is weak, but the HR are there. maybe hes trying to justify that he hasnt been on the juice in recent years so he needs to hit some HR to make people believe he doesnt need steroids to be successful?

maybe he just came back too soon from his hip injury?

i dont think it should be a routine to get games off here and there on a semi regular basis, but if hes truly hurt another couple weeks (or longer) on the DL might be coming.

Girardi should have been sitting him at least once a week and using him at DH once a week. I think he's a little out of game shape and his swing mechanics are behind as well. Long term he'll be fine, he isn't falling off the face of the earth. If you think this is what A-Rod is off of steroids you are greatly overestimating how much steroids help you.

Maybe if he stopped clubbing until 3AM with Kate Hudson he would have more energy.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

this is what rotoworld.com had on Rodriguez
Alex Rodriguez was spotted with Kate Hudson in a Miami night club at 2:30am on Saturday morning.
Rodriguez's complaints of "fatigue" have already drawn criticism, and now the New York-based media is going to have an absolute field day. Players are allowed to have a social life, but when it affects their play there's obviously going to be a problem. A-Rod is batting .212/.370/.462 with nine homers and 26 RBI since returning from hip surgery. He's expected to return to the starting lineup Sunday.

one would think his number one priority is baseball, but maybe not. hes getting a couple games off from the baseball field, but hes still going for the HR off the field.
