I am Team A and here is the the rest of the story: Prior to doing this deal I made sure to acquire Ben Zobrist by shipping out FIP king Jared Weaver. Actually I traded Weaver and Wells for Zobrist and Valverde. If you don't like that trade for my team then please stop reading b/c I don't want your input. After securing Zobrist, I started shopping HanRam like the french whore that he is. I own him. Do the rest of you? Does every single person that posted here own him? No. So you have no f*cking clue about how frustrating it is to see a guy projected as probably around a 34-85-105-35 guy not hit a home run since May 22 and having stole ONE bag since May 23. He's on pace for somewhere around 20-68-70-20. If you extrapolate Zobrist's numbers from 160 AB's to 240 (like most everyday players have and considering he is now an everyday player) he would be very close to HanRam's season projections RIGHT NOW. People, Team B is in 1st place. I'm a game and a half back. The dude who posted this whole veto thing isn't even in the fourth place guys rearview mirror. Chill out, don't feel bad for me, don't call me idiotic. I know what I'm doing. I could beat most of you.

Wow some ego we have here and with a chip on the shoulder to boot...

I agree that this trade should NOT be vetoed. I am of the belief that a trade should never be vetoed unless both parties who are a part of the trade agree to stop the trade OR if I truly believe cheating/collusion is happening.

You obviously make your team stronger with this trade, you get two proven players who are both top 20 in pitching and hitting for a guy who's been on the DL more than he's not been on the DL and for Han Ram who has been struggling and has a ton of name value but not much more than that.

The other team is probably believing that they are buying low and selling high on hunter and shields. This is obviously a good trade in the eyes of both owners and should NOT be vetoed.

Just to clarify though, coming into this forum and saying that unless we agree with you that we should ignore this topic and saying that you could beat all of us is pretty immature and I hope this ends up being your first and last post here unless you decide to be more mature about talking fantasy baseball.

That is all, thanks!

Hey first-post guy, no need to get all snotty (darn no cursing rule) with people. Only one person said that the trade should be vetoed. People might not be making the trade that you are making (do we seriously believe that Zobrist is a better ballplayer than Ramirez?), but that is no reason to get all defensive and curse people out with cute little asterisks to get past the filters.

As to whether you could beat most of the people here....maybe, but who gives a crap? This is a forum where people that are serious about the game of fantasy baseball read and post. I think that if you took a cross-section of users on this board, they would be much more savvy about the game than the schlubs in the average league.

Team A again here. Yeah, I was a little upset at the time. But just to clarify, I wasn't asking for a parade for being in first place. In fact, if you read correctly I said I'm a game and a half BEHIND first......buddy. As for everything else, I was just hot at the time for being called idiotic by probably 8 out of the 10 people. I'm not doubting the greatness of Hanley Ramirez. All I'm saying is that I think the drop from Hanley to Zobrist is less than the gain I am going to get from Bourn/Rivera to Hunter. I'm from the school of find guys who can move in and cushion your loss nicely and then ship the big name guy. Is it a hell of a risk? Absolutely. But I love action. I love trading, to a fault. But I'm pretty damn good at fantasy and it just really pissed me off to hear so many people saying how stupid I am. People hear that name, Hanley, and just get really emotional. I try to view 'em cold. Anyways, good luck to everyone, sorry for any offense, and wish me luck as well (Hanley is on FIRE since I traded him by the way, lol)........

It is def not a good trade ... two first round players for pitching. I am against vetoing for the most part as owners are grown ups and can make their own decisions. I think this is more of a gut decision based on how well you know the league and the owners ...how will it effect the league?

hence the advice earlier to not trade away ELITE players. They are elite for a reason. Lesson learned.
