depending on how the year pans out of course.. but based on whats happened so far this year..

1. Mauer for sure top 10.
2. last year appears to be a fluke for Prince Fielder, so that move him to early 2nd RD.
3. Matt Wieters hit a homerun last night. just sayin'
4. I just dont understand when people dont put carlos lee in the 2nd rd. he's about the most consistant stat producer in baseball. .315, 30HR, 110+ RBI. every year.
5. is Adam Jones not just as good as Matt Kemp or Carlos Beltran?
6. move Arod down. he's not as good as he was when he was on steroids.

i don't know if i'd take out beltran, maybe move him down to the 20-25 range, but otherwise i second this. both upton brothers should be second round picks.

Until Wright shows he can get his HR stroke back, I don't see him at #3. Reynolds also does not belong in the top 25. It's been said, but yeah, both Uptons belong in there as 2nd round picks at least and you still have to consider Hamilton, though maybe he's more of a late 2nd rounder due to injury concerns. He's a hell of a ballplayer, but how will he look the remainder of this season?

I'd be more inclined to talk about lists like this as we approach the end of the season.

That's just a crazy assertion. "Based" on that...

- Your 1/2/3 would be Pujols/Ibanez/Crawford
- Johan would drop off the list entirely, but Zack Greinke would be there
- Ben Zobrist would probably be on the list due to position eligibility

This makes more sense for a mid-season league. There is still a lot of ball left to play.

And I don't see Reynolds in the top 25. Soriano has been horrible but I would imagine he is still a 2nd rounder next year.

I'd still be wary taking an injury prone catcher in the first round. If he hits 400 and clubs 30 this season, I'd change my tune...maybe.

5. is Adam Jones not just as good as Matt Kemp or Carlos Beltran?

For the past 2 and a half months, yes. I'd feel much safer with Kemp/Beltran, though.

6. move Arod down. he's not as good as he was when he was on steroids.

I don't know about that. His 04-08 seasons seemed just fine to me. 9 HR in 128 AB this season is not too shabby, either. I go ARod top 5 all day.
