that's tough. mccutchen is a good looking player for sure. scott has power, but is playing on a team with a crowded outfield. i'd watch them both for a few days, then decide, if you can afford to wait.

Hey thank you. I was thinking the samething too. I might have one more day, if Andrew hits another good game then I would think that he would be picked up.
What do you think of brad bergesen SP for Orioles, Should I pick him up?
Anyone else? McCutchen is looking good right now. Hitting well. I am getting itchy fingers and ready to pull the trigger on Andrew. I am not sure how much longer he will last in free agency.

Thank you for your help. I will keep your advice and I will hold off. I will continue to watch him though. Do you recommend any time frame when you can say it is safe to go after Andrew if he is still available?
I think it's tough to say, he may get picked up pretty quickly because of the hype around him. I think it takes a while to see if he ends up being like a Ben Zobrist, but most Zobrist owners had the opportunity to wait on him because he didn't have a lot of hype around him. I'd give him a couple weeks, if he just dominates a good pitcher or has a breakthrough game, then I think you can go ahead and gamble on him. But remember it's a gamble and I get a feeling that Luke Scott will be eaten up pretty quickly on waiver wire.

Thank you again. I will hold off and see what happens.
Luke Scott's history is to get really hot for awhile and then go back to mediocrity. Unfortunately, we don't have a history for McCutchen.
But I like what I've seen so far from Mc. I just recently dropped Scott after his HR tear, because I don't believe he'll sustain it.
Again, this type of thing is completely based on gut reaction, but this seems like a lower risk scenario. Longer term, if whoever you choose doesn't work out, statistically, you should be able to pick up an OF that can easily replace him. So, this is a low-stress, turnstile type of transaction in my world. Long story short? My gut says McCutchen.
