Man...so hard to judge relative values/replaceability in a league that big......with that in mind, and assuming you can cobble together decent pitching numbers with what you have or the FA list, I'd prefer lee over haren. He's been superb so far, but has there ever been a better bet to have a bad second half then danny haren? A good sell high...
i usually prefer bats over pitching, but not in this case. i don't like the deal for you. you can get more for haren right now. he's one of the top 3 pitchers in the majors right now in my opinion.
I'd do it if I were you. I like the rest of your staff, that's a nice group of 3 starters, and a great OF category-filler for you. I'm a Haren owner too and think it'd be a good idea to trade him for a bat on my own team.
Also, for a 20-team league, I think you have a sick team. The only likely weakness I see is OF, so...I like your team with Lee for Haren.
I'd do the deal. Carlos Lee is a giant upgrade in your OF or Util spot. Yeah, Haren has been great. But as mentioned, he has a history of 2nd half fades. Now is the time to move him, and you're getting premium value for him.
back to post again. if you're really interested in trading haren, then i'd go after jason bay or ryan braun instead of lee. it seems many are worried haren will slack off in the 2nd half. that's my advice.
please check out my update on my post. i saw your reply, but i have a new offer now. thanks! viewtopic.php?t=390693
