Ichiro or Ibanez WHIR

Postby LMack » Wed Jun 17, 2009 9:40 pm

On this team, who would you rather have for the rest of the year, Ibanez or Ichiro?
I'm leaning slightly towards Ichiro, because between Tex, Inge, Reynolds, Fielder, Cruz, my HR total is pretty solid. But then again, Ibañez is playing out of his mind right now.
So it all comes down too, how much will Ibañez cool down, and is Ichiro a decent replacement?

OF Carl Crawford (TB - OF)
OF Raúl Ibañez (Phi - OF)
OF Nelson Cruz (Tex - OF)
Util Prince Fielder (Mil - 1B)

SP Yovani Gallardo (Mil - SP)

What place are you in?

You seem stacked on offense. Why not trade Ibanez for a pitcher.

I have Ichiro in one of my leagues and he is great for hits and average. He used to be good for stolen bases, but not so much this year.

Ibanez is definitely worth more then Ichiro alone, maybe throw in an RP as well.

Help with mine...

This point may be moot now that he is injured.
Still think an owner would do ichiro for ibanez straight up now? Where do you place the value of an injured Ibanez?

I'll take Ichiro. He is going to be the better player down the stretch.
