2 Questions - Please help - WHIR

My team is pretty stacked with starting pitching. I could use an upgrade in my hitting and in my closers.

BJ Ryan is available on the free agent market. Should I drop someone for him and if so, who?

Also, another manager would be willing to trade Ortiz for pitching. Would he earn a starting spot on my roster?

Would you drop anyone for BJ Ryan and if so, who would you drop?
Who would you offer for Ortiz if anyone?

i'd try to go after Ortiz (looks like he's heating up) and you could play him over Ordonez. i'd try offering Hanson or Kazmir for him (might be shot down, but then you'll find out how much he values ortiz)

I would not pick up BJ Ryan. I also would not go after Ortiz. Your starting pitching staff is so stacked, I think you should try to package someone like Johnson or Wainwright with a position player to upgrade at 1B or 3B.

I'd pass on both. Scott Downs has a stranglehold on the Closer role in Toronto, so I really doubt Ryan will have much value, and Ortiz isn't even worth Scott Kazmir.

thanks for the help everyone. downs is looking at a possible DL stint which is why I was considering BJ Ryan.

Anyways, what would be a good package to acquire either Manny Ramirez or Matt Holliday if both players were looking for pitching? For Manny, it would probably need to be an ace starting pitcher and for holliday probaby a hitter/pitcher combo.
