Trio for Halladay?

Postby Tenacious D-Store » Tue Jun 16, 2009 11:18 pm

I was offered Brian Roberts, Corey Hart, and Joe Saunders for Halladay in a 12 team H2H league about a week ago. I hadn't gotten around to rejecting the trade yet and actually forgot about it until I was setting my line up for the next few days. I think Corey Hart stinks, and I'm not big on Saunders. I also need a shortstop and have no use for another 2nd baseman. So there was no need for me to even consider it. However, no that Halladay has a mystery injury and no info about the severity of this injury is being released, I'm wondering if I should take advantage of this offer.

tough call - obviously Halladay is a stud when healthy and Saunders and Hart are not guys I am particularly high on - Roberts is probably close in value to Halladay - can you wait a few more days to get an injury update? I mean if the other guy realizes Halladay's injury it is his job to take down the offer !+)

He hasn't retracted it yet. I suppose it's worth the risk to wait a few days. I think Yahoo automatically cancels it after a certain amount of time.

Yahoo cancels it after about 7-10 days i think - is the manager still active?

Moderately active. I don't think he checks every day. I don't recall the exact date that he sent the trade. I'm hoping to get a response on face book from Shaun Marcum (who is actually a friend of mine... not bragging lol) as to Halladay's condition. There's no guarentee he'll know any more than what has been released.

I wouldn't take this deal if I were you.. Roberts is a stud yes, but Halladay is arguably the best pitcher in fantasy and his injury doesn't seem serious, while Hart and Saunders don't contribute too much.
