Glaus and Guillen

Team is healthy so I have two open DL spots. I picked up Glaus and Carlos Guillen...

Any updates on them? I hear both of them might return in july.. Early, late?

Do you think they will be contributors?

They're both coming back from shoulder injuries, which means their power probably won't be there at first. Given that knowledge, I like Guillen better than Glaus because he has always hit for a better average. What position eligibility does he have in your league? Based off of last year's numbers, both players have a lot of upside though...

Guillen's agent, Peter Greenberg, said that his client could have to undergo surgery on his ailing right shoulder, Fox Sports reports.

Guillen has been diagnosed with stretched ligaments, rotator cuff fraying and a bone bruise. He'll continue to rehab the the injury for the next few weeks before making a decision on surgery. If Guillen does have to go under the knife, he would like to make the decision in July so he can make a full recovery for next season.

I have no info, but I read every update that comes out about Guillen, and I would guess he is done. No proof, and I only play a doctor on TV, so take it for what it's worth.

Rotowire can't make up its mind:

Despite previous reports that Guillen is considering surgery on his injured right shoulder, manager Jim Leyland said that talk is premature, the Detroit News reports. "To my knowledge that's absolutely not true, unless something is going on that I don't know about," Leyland said. "I've never heard anything like that. All I've heard is 4-6 week rehab and see where we stand."
The Tigers plan to hold off on any decision with Guillen until he finishes his current rehab stint in Miami, which should conclude around the All-Star break. Guillen is reportedly feeling better, so there's still a chance he could have an impact in the second half of the season.
