The league is a Yahoo standard 5x5 h2h, 10 teams. The trade is my David Wright and Javier Vazquez for his Albert Pujols and Kerry Wood. Obviously I need help with RP and anytime you can gets Pujols is a good time but is this too much to pay? Note that ARod isn't exactly a bad David Wright replacement.
Here is my roster C: Matt Wieters 1B: Carlos Pena 2B: Brandon Phillips 3B: David Wright SS: Michael Young LF: Juan Pierre CF: Shane Victorino RF: Jayson Werth UT: Alex Rodriguez BN: David Ortiz BN: Luke Scott DL: Josh Hamilton
SP: Cole Hamels, Chad Billingsley, Roy Oswalt, Javier Vazquez, Jered Weaver, Scott Baker, Ubaldo Jimenez RP: David Aardsma, C.J. Wilson DL: Frank Francisco

For Pujols, this is absolutely worth it IMO. Having Pujols at 1B would allow you to move Pena into a timeshare at UTL -- where he'd be most effective. (Check his split stats, he does almost all of his damage against RHPs). Then you slide ARod in at 3B and don't miss a beat. Your RPs get another much needed arm. Vazquez is a good sell high candidate...etc
This trade makes a lot of sense for you. I'd do it.
Definitely a good deal for you. Selling high on Vazquez is a good move, and your pitching is deep enough to handle the loss. Then you put in Arod at 3b, pena or luke scott at utility, and plug in Hamilton when he comes back... Your team will be nasty.
unfortunately I'am a pretty big Mets fan, and this year has been a interesting year for David Wright. The guy isnt hitting for power as much as he used to, and is concentrating more on hitting into the gaps and getting on base driving in baserunners. This is in direct result to Manuel's orders in using him more as a speed guy. Notice he's way up there in steals compared to previous years. He does back up Sheffield but the only player who is consistently getting on base before Wright is Beltran (dont forget Reyes has been on the DL for the past month and a half.
What does that mean for you, well if you are looking for a re-birth of HR's he put up the last 2 years, I wouldn't hold your breath. So losing his production right now is almost equivalent to losing a Nick Markakis. To gain a player like Pujols right for that to add to a collection of a heating up A-Rod and underachieving Philips would put you at the top of your league.
An getting a closer like Wood to help build your own committee of closers is icing on the cake.
