C Mauer - can hit and play his position better than anyone else in the game, and he always seems to wind up on my team
1B Teixeira - he doesn't have the all around game of Pujols, but he brings it every year, regardless of what uniform he's wearing
2B Utley - I've always loved this guy's approach to the game; also love seeing pitchers terrified of this skinny unassuming white guy
3B Longoria - Another pick based on having had him on my team the past two seasons; the sky is the limit for this guy
SS Hanley - I've loved this guy's talent since '06 when he carried me to a title; try to get him on my team every year
OF Hamilton - difficult choice between Hamilton and Sizemore as both are amazing talents, but everything Hamilton has gone through to get where he is gives him the edge
SP Halladay - doesn't get the recognition he deserves playing half his games in Canada; brings it every time out; just a flat out amazing pitcher
RP Hoffman - difficult choice here between Hoffmen and Nathan; both just go out and get there three outs and that's that, not a whole lot of flash, and I like that; Hoffman gets the nod because he's still playing at a dominant level well into his 40's
I don't begrudge anyone picking Mauer as their favorite catcher, I like him too, but I watch a lot of midwest baseball and he does not "play his position" better than Yadier Molina.
