John Lackey Trade.... WHIR

Postby TheBambino » Sun Jun 14, 2009 11:17 am

Not sure if im trading him low here but Ive been offered

Jurrjens and Martin
for my
Lackey and Pierzynski

Im not too high on Lackey this year.... I think Jurrjens can put up similar numbers (what do you think?) and Im hoping Martin is at rock bottom and only on his way up!

Your Help is Seriously Appreciated!!
Leave a link and Ill get to you!

Thanks

I would think that Lackey would have more value than this. Try to shop around a bit more because I think you'll end up losing this deal.

if martin wasn't underperforming so bad, i would absolutely say yes. But man he has struggled. I got to say no to this deal.

Lackey - even after injury has pitched deep into ballgames and plays in the terrible AL West
Jurrjens - is off to a great start, but plays in hot hitting NL East

I think this is a fair shake of a deal. Two struggling guys in Lackey and Martin. IF (sure maybe a big if) Martin cracks out of this slump you will be laughing because I think AJ is finished, his production has dropped off allot....depending on where you sit in your league, I might take the gamble with Russel Martin and make the deal.

i think I'd wait a bit before dealing Lackey and let his value go up. I think you can get more for this especially not knowing if Martin will return to form.
