Longoria or Wright in a Keeper League? WHIR

Postby mingecutter » Sat Jun 13, 2009 9:47 pm

ESPN 10-Team H2H 5x5 Keeper League (1 Offensive Keeper & 1 Pitching Keeper)

I get: Longoria, Abreu, Lester
I give: Wright, Theriot

I've had Wright as my keeper in this league for a few years now and have turned down many offers for him along the way. Is this finally the Wright one?? Longoria is young, a stud, and a power hitter. He would then be my new keeper. Wright's speed and average are top notch right now, but his power has dropped significantly. He's also my team's main source of swipes at this point. Would Abreu make up for the loss in steals? I would put him in my Utility spot over Theriot. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance, and I will help in return!

i'd go with longoria here. wright is a stud, but you're getting more in the deal here in my opinion. theriot is nothing special, while lester is a solid pitcher.

I think this is a good trade. Looks like Citi field is a pitchers haven. Abreu will def make up the steals whilst Longoria is young and is a power stud! Plus you get Lester who already has a no hitter! Do it at your own risk because the thought of giving up Wright is scary. Longoria has had only one and one third good seasons.

I like this deal for you purely for Lester and Longoria. Abreu is just a bonus.
