Spot starter for tomorrow WHIR

Postby LMack » Sat Jun 13, 2009 8:10 pm

Pretty pitching deep league I'm in, looking for a spot starter, available:

Braden Looper, Mil SP vs - CWS, Buehrle
Ross Ohlendorf, Pit SP, RP - Det, Willis
Brian Bannister, KC SP - Cin, Cueto
Jason Hammel, Col SP, RP - Sea, Vargas
Billy Buckner, Ari RP - Hou, Moehler
Brett Anderson, Oak SP - @SF, Cain
Ross Detwiler, Was SP - @TB, Shields
Derek Holland, Tex SP - LAD, Billingsley
Dontrelle Willis, Det SP - @Pit, Ohlendorf
Brian Moehler, Hou SP - @Ari, Buckner

Desperation time tomorrow. Will finish up close or slightly behind in my H2H points league, and my opponent has Josh Johnson and Brian Bergesen going tomorrow, so I might need some points and some offensive luck. Which pitcher should I go with? Was thinking Anderson, as he was the third option left on the Sunday’s Hail Mary list. Are any of these pitchers likely to give me a positive point getting start tomorrow? I can start 2 if there are two solid options. Help. :-X

Surpised to day this, but it looks like Hmmel may be hte best choice. He is pitching at Coors, but has been the best of the group oer the last 2 weeks. Moehler would be 2nd.

i would go with looper or ohlendorf. looper has the tougher match-up, going against buerhle. but the brewers are at home, and they can score runs. ohlendorf doesn't get many K's, but he has a lot of quality starts, and he usually keeps his team close.

Anderson. Giants are nothing special offensively.

Oaklands offense is nothing special either, however. Which concerns me he might wind up with the loss.
Looper has been added.
