Postby AnddWon » Sat Jun 13, 2009 2:54 pm

A manager just offered me this interesting trade

My:
Erik Bedard
Heath Bell

for

his:
Zack Greinke

this is a 5x5 H2H keeper btw, I'm very very temped because I still have Capps, Gregg, Aardsma.

Top RPs in FA pool are:

Rafael Soriano\
Joel Hanrahan
BJ Ryan
JP Howell
CJ Wilson
Rafael Soriano
Randy Choate
Leo Nunez

Do it? Or just hold on to my guys?

I would do it especially since it is a keeper league.

There is a lot of uncertainty on both sides - Bedard's health, Greinke's start and Bell's start along with the team he plays for. While everyone is saying Greinke will come down to earth (and to an extent already is), I don't think it will be as much as everyone is saying.

If it was up to me, I would do it, especially in a keeper league. It seems like only a matter of time until Bedard gets injured again, and while I like Bell, you have good closers left and there are good FA options, and most of all, I think Greinke will be a stud for years to come.

Also, thanks for help on mine.

I'd take it, and consider myself fortunate that the manager is undervaluing Grienke so much. You're ok at closer, so you can afford the loss of Bell. Grienke isn't some fluke - he's been touted as a stud-in-waiting for a while. He just needed time to get his act together (both physical and mental). I think the "falling to earth" talk is overblown. No starter maintains an ERA under 1.

Take Grienke. The fact that you're in a keeper league makes this an easier decision for me.

Thanks for the help on mine btw.
