Roy Halladay...injured?

Postby mhuhn23 » Fri Jun 12, 2009 8:12 pm

Left the game tonight against Florida.

Went 3 IP, ER, 5 H...so it doesn't look like it was a performance issue.

Anybody have an update? This is horrible news to my team...I'm already hurting with Peavy downa a month.

On mlb.com, they said he left because something didn't feel right but they didn't say what. My season is official over...

I saw it, but haven't heard exactly what happened. He threw a pitch and kinda grimaced. He wasn't rubbin his arm or shoulder or anything. But I'm watching MLB network as I type this and they still haven't said what's wrong with him. I'm assuming it's an injury, he must have did something on that pitch, but I won't speculate anymore than that. He wouldn't come out unless something was wrong.

Hope its not an arm issue as a result of how much work they've been having him put in. Throwing CG after CG can take its toll when you're pitching every 5 days.

This sucks.

Groin injury, probably a grade 2 since he did try to throw a warm up pitch to see if he could continue or how serious it was. I say he'll be out maybe a month.

Having the ability to throw a pitch or not has nothing to do with the grade of injury. Unless you are on the training/medical staff and physically evaluated him, why would you even post this?
